Importance of Training
AIMS realizes that training is crucial for organizational development and success. It is fruitful to both employers and employees of an organization.
AIMS has a well equipped and fully functional Training Department.
Training is given on four basic grounds:
- New candidates who join an organization are given training. This training familiarizes them with the organizational vision, rules and regulations and the working conditions.
- The existing employees are trained to refresh and enhance their knowledge.
- If any updations and amendments take place in technology, training is given to cope up with those changes. For instance, purchasing new equipment, changes in technique of production etc. The employees are trained about use of new equipments and work methods.
- When promotion and career growth becomes important. Training is given so that employees are prepared to share the responsibilities of the higher level job.
New employee induction training
AIMS realises that in order to maintain effective and efficient service delivery, all employees must be taken through a comprehensive induction process.
AIMS commits itself to assist new employees to integrate into the culture of the organisation and to acquaint themselves with details and the requirements of the job as quickly as possible.
Induction training is conducted for all employees of AIMS as follows:
- General organization induction which includes training on HR policies, Safety & important hospital vide policies.
- Departmental induction which is tailored to the new employee’s specific department and job.
Every new employee is assigned a buddy trainer within the department for this purpose.
Ongoing Training Programmes
Training needs of every employee is being identified by respective HODs & Training Department.
Structured training programmes are available for all categories of staff.
Every employee is required to undergo mandatory trainings which include:
Safety Policy, Fire fighting, Quality Management & NABH etc.
Regular trainings are imparted to nursing staff on various medical topics like Infection control, care of tracheostomy patients, care of vulnerable patients, ventilator care, Biomedical waste management , Basic Life Support etc.
Weekly CMEs are conducted for doctors on topics like Use of Antibiotics, Management of Medication etc.
Every training programme is being evaluated through feedbacks received from the trainees & assessments carried out after the programme.
Training passports are being issued to all employees to maintain their training records. It is submitted to HR department at the time of appraisals to ensure that mandatory training hours have been completed by the employee. |
